ABOUT US

African Foreign Languages Arts Academy and Cultural Center (AFLAACC) is an organisation based in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe. We help people of all ages discover opportunity through language learning, creative skills training, and mentoring.

MISSION OF AFLAACC

The mission of African Foreign Languages Arts Academy and Cultural Center (AFLAACC) is to empower young people, artists, and communities in Victoria Falls and beyond through languages, culture, and creativity.

We seek to create a space where education, the arts, and cultural exchange come together to open opportunities locally and internationally.

GOALS OF AFLAACC

To promote language learning (both African and international) as a tool for education, tourism, and global opportunities.

To nurture artistic talent in theatre, film, music, visual arts, and performance, giving young people a platform to express themselves.

To foster cultural exchange that connects local communities with the world while celebrating African identity.

To support community empowerment by providing creative, educational, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

To bridge hospitality and tourism with the arts to make Victoria Falls a hub of culture, language, and creativity.

Basic skills training in children's book writing, novel writing, magazine writing, layout designing, editing, cover design, illustration and many more.

LANGUAGES

In boader cities or cities with tourists learning both foreign and local languages are very important skill of the future. At AFLAACC we dream of a future where locals and visitors are both able to communicate freely without any restrictions, we envision a community where local children are given equal chances to learn other skills especially other languages despite their social background, religion, tribe or race. Sometimes others move to a new place and need to also converse with the locals for different reasons and as AFLAACC we would like to help bridge that gap.

DEUTSCH/ GERMAN

Deutsch or German is spoken in many countries like Germany, Switzerland, Austria and a few other places.

We offer German for:-

AU PAIR

An Au Pair is a young person who lives with a Host Family from another country and supports the family with childcare in return for full board, lodging and pocket money. Au Pair takes an active part in the family life.

The Au Pair program is an international cultural exchange that gives the possibility to young people to spend some time abroad, learn more about a different culture, improve their skills in a foreign language in exchange for help with duties related to childcare. The term “au pair” from French means “on equal terms”, signifying that Au Pair and Host Family treat each other as equals.

An Au Pair is a young lady or guy between 17 and 30 years old who stays with a local Host Family, learns their language and culture in exchange for help with childcare . An Au Pair gets free room and board, regular meals and a small allowance for personal expenses.

Au Pair is neither a cleaning lady nor a full time househelp or nanny but part of the family.
